As a planner, you can start a manual Callout.
The manual Callout process involves contacting healthcare professionals by telephone, recording the healthcare professional’s response, and then ending the Callout process.
For manual Callouts, healthcare professionals do not receive Callout notifications by email.
Note: At least one Callout profile is required to start a Callout.
- In the side menu, select Scheduling

- To the left of your calendar, under Groups, select a group.
- In the calendar, select an Open shift.
- In Assignment, select Start Callout.
- (Optional) In Callout profile name, select a manual Callout profile.
- Select Start Callout. The Track Callout progress window opens.
- Contact the healthcare professionals by telephone based on the suggested call time.
- In Response, select the healthcare professional’s response.
The Time of response column shows when you record the healthcare professional’s response. - When the required number of resources is reached, select Complete Callout.
When you complete the Callout, healthcare professionals who accepted the Callout are assigned to the shift.
