As a planner, you can start an automated Callout to fill an Open shift.
An automated Callout sends notifications to healthcare professionals by email or text and records their responses automatically.
Note: Even when the Callout is automated, you can still enter or edit responses manually - even if the healthcare professional already accepted the Callout.
- In the side menu, select Scheduling

- To the left of your calendar, under Groups, select a group.
- In the calendar, select an Open shift.
- In Assignment, select Start Callout. The Start Callout window appears.
- (Optional) In Callout profile name, select an automated Callout profile.
- Select Start Callout.
When the required number of resources is reached, select Complete Callout.
Healthcare professionals are not automatically assigned to the shift when they reply Yes. When you complete the Callout, healthcare professionals who accepted the Callout are assigned to the shift. They receive a confirmation by email or by text message
