Members can make an absence request for a vacation, personal days, conferences, and other events. They can request time off for the entire day or for part of the day, such as the morning or afternoon. As a planner (with the necessary permissions), you can approve or reject these absence requests.
All submitted absence requests appear in the Approval table. To view specific absence requests, you can filter the Approval table. For example, you can view absence requests by absence category or by member, or both.
You can determine the layout of the Approval table by displaying absence requests by month (calendar view) or in a list (list view). Both calendar view and list view present the same information.
Calendar view
This tables describes how information is presented in the calendar view.

- In the side menu, select Scheduling.
- Select Absences and availability.
- Select Approval table.
- (Optional) Set these configuration options:
- Absence categories: Select the types of absences for which you want to view requests.
- Members: Select the members for whom you want to see the absence requests.
- Teams: Select the teams for which you want to see the absence requests.
- Status: Select the status of the absence requests.
- Select Apply.
To clear your selections, select Reset. - (Optional) Set these view options:
- Display since: Turn on this option to go back one year from the current month.
- Calendar: Select this option to view the information by month.
- List: Select this option to view the information in a list.
- Select a pending request.
- If you are in list view, do one of these steps:
- To approve the request, select

- To view the history of the request, hover your mouse over History.

- If you are in calendar view, do one of these steps:
- To approve the request, select Approve. You can add a comment. Confirm your action.
- To reject the request, select Decline. You can add a comment. Confirm your action.
- Select View history to see historical data such as the date and time upon which the request was made.
When you accept or reject an absence request, the member receives a notification.
