After you assess a patient’s symptoms, use the Agent Portal to dispatch the patient to the appropriate care provider. Start by searching for the record that corresponds to the patient and then find an appointment that matches the patient’s care needs.
- Log in to Petal. The Agent Portal welcome page appears.
- If this is your first dispatch after logging in, select Start a dispatch.
- Identify the patient:
- Enter the health card number of the patient and then select Search for patient. The Search results page displays the corresponding patient records.
Select Find an appointment for the corresponding patient record.
Tip: To view additional patient information, such patient history or care provider details, select See details in the patient record. In Patient details page, select Find an appointment.
- Search for an appointment:
- In Find an appointment page, enter the search criteria.
- Select Search for time slots. Available time slots appear.
- (Optional) Use the filters on the left to narrow the available time slots.
- Select a time slot. The names of the available practitioners appear. Select one practitioner and then select Validate. Verify appointment details page appears.
- Book the appointment:
- Under Contact information, under Primary contact, enter the information for the primary contact
- (Optional) To add a secondary contact, select Add a contact.
- Select Book appointment. A confirmation page appears.
- (Optional) Select Print confirmation.
You've now booked the appointment. The primary and secondary contacts receive a confirmation by email and SMS
