Use mentions (@ symbol) in a group conversation to communicate with a particular person within the group conversation. For example, you can direct a question to only one person in a group conversation, but the answer might also be important for everyone in the conversation to know.
Web app
- In the side menu, select Secure Messaging
.
- In Conversations, go to your group conversation.
- In Write a message, use your keyboard to type @. The contacts in the group conversation appear.
- Select the contact. The selected contact's name appears in the message.
- Type text next to the contact's name.
- Select
. The message is sent to group and the specified contact is notified.
Mobile app
- From the bottom menu, tap Messaging
