Simple blocking prevents healthcare providers from receiving assignments for two specific shift types in the same or overlapping time slots.
For example, if you enable simple blocking for On-call SURG – Stat and On-call Surgery shifts, healthcare providers cannot receive assignments for both shifts at the same time.
You can still assign the healthcare provider to both shifts on the same day, but only at different times.
Note: A simple block applies only when both shifts occur in the same or overlapping time slots. For example, an AM shift can block a day shift, but not an evening shift—even if the shifts are marked as related.

By selecting All in the second column, the selections marked are only those selected in the filter and are not extended to the whole table. - Select the checkbox that results in the intersection of both shifts. Two check marks appear since the shifts have a bidirectional relationship.
