Create an event

Create an event by using the mobile app (video)

 

Events are entries that represent scheduled activities or appointments, such as meetings, workshops, social events. You can create events just for yourself or public events where you can invite colleagues.

Personal events do not make you unavailable for scheduling. To be unavailable for scheduling, add an absence to your calendar.

  1. In the side menu, select Calendars Calendars_icon.png. Your calendar opens.
  2. In the top right corner, select Events. You can also select (+) in the corner of the desired day and then select Event.
  3. In Create an Event, configure these settings:
    • Event title: Enter a title for the event.
    • All day: Activate this option for events that last all day.
    • Date and time: Enter the start and end dates and the start and end times of the event.
    • Guests: Invite individuals, groups, and distribution lists.
    • Location: Enter the location of the event.
    • Billable event:
      • Group choice: Select a group.
      • Billing type: Select a billing type.
    • Description: Add information regarding the event. You can add links to websites.
    • Attach: Select files to add to the event details, such as images or documents.
    • Don’t send me response notifications: Turn on this option if you do not want notifications regarding guest responses.
  4. Select Create.
  5. In Would you like to notify guests of this invitation, do one of these steps:
    • Select Notify guests to add the event to the guests’ calendar and to send them a notification.
    • Select No to add the event to the guest’s calendar without sending a notification.

To edit an event, select the event in your calendar. In the event details window, select Modify.

To delete an event, select the event in your calendar. In the event details window, select Delete.
