Custom fields are configurable fields that supplement the standard fields in the Teams and Members sections.
By default, a set of default custom fields is available, but you can also create your own.
- In the side menu, select Scheduling
.
- Select Institution and then select Profile fields.
- Select Create custom field. The Create a custom field window opens.
- In Identification, configure these settings:
- Category: Choose where the custom field appears in the user’s profile, such as under Scheduling or General.
- English display name: Enter the field name that the application displays in English.
- English description: Enter a description or help text for the field in English.
- French display name: Enter the field name that the application displays in French.
- French description: Enter a description or help text for the field in French.
- In Field type configuration, configure these settings:
- Field type: Select the type of field to create, such as text, integer, decimal, date, or time.
If you select Value list as the field type, enter the options that users can select. The application displays these predefined options in a drop-down list. - String subtype: Select a subtype for the field type. For example, if you select Text as a field type, you can select Email.
- Field type: Select the type of field to create, such as text, integer, decimal, date, or time.
- Select Save. The new custom field appears in the list of profile fields.
- To activate the new custom field, select the checkbox next to it and then select Confirm.
- Select permissions and settings for the custom field.
- Select Publish. The custom field appears in the relevant category.
