The New external user creation feature helps large hospital organizations manage who can add new users to Petal. This feature is intended for organizations configured with a console group hierarchy.
When this feature is activated, only designated members can add new external users to Petal. This capability is controlled through a permission that can be assigned to one or more members within a group.
The permission can be assigned to:
- Planners
- Members
- Administrative members
Only technical support can grant or remove this permission.
Planners without permission to add new external users can still:
- Add existing users to their group
- Edit existing users
- Delete existing users
Planners cannot remove themselves from their own group.
