Configure skills for members of a group

Configuring skills of group members is crucial for ensuring that members have appropriate shift assignments.

Configure skills of members to determine which shifts members can accept. Configuring these skills impacts the members’ eligibility for current and future shifts.

For instance, if a planner removes the Surgery skill from a member, that member is no longer eligible for trades and transfers for shifts that require the Surgery skill.

  1. From the left menu bar, select Scheduling Scheduling_Icon.png.
  2. Select Skills. The Members and skills page opens, displaying a list of members in your group and their skills.
  3. To filter the skills that appear in Members and skills, select Filters_icon.png. Choose the information that you want to see and then select Apply.
  4. In Members and skills, select Edit.
  5. Select skills for the member and then select Save. The member's skills are updated.
  6. At the top of the page, select Member and teams.
  7. In Members and teams, select Edit.
  8. To filter the skills that appear in Members and teams, select Filters_icon.png. Choose the information that you want to see and then select Apply.
  9. Add (or remove) a member from a team and then select Save.
