How come I do not have access to secure messaging in the new Petal Health mobile app?
We have redesigned the new Petal Health mobile app with an up-to-date IT framework to enhance security and performance.
The new framework does not allow communication between the original Petal for Physicians app and the new Petal Health app. To ensure communication channels are always open, we have disabled secure messaging in the new Petal Health mobile app to allow time for users to download and get ready for a transition date. On your facility’s specified transition date, we will deactivate the original Petal for Physicians mobile app and activate secure messaging on the new Petal Health mobile app.
Where can I find the transition date for my facility?
All Petal customers will transition to the new mobile app by March 2026.
What is happening to the Petal for Physicians mobile app?
The Petal for Physicians mobile app will be retired early in 2026. We encourage you to download the new Petal Health mobile app as soon as possible to ensure you maintain access to your schedule anytime, anywhere.
When Petal deactivates the Petal for Physicians app, will I still have access to my conversation history?
Yes! You can still access your conversation history in the web application. After your transition date, log in to Petal from your laptop or desktop to view the conversation history synchronized from the original Petal for Physicians mobile app in read-only mode.
