When you cannot access your telephone or your email to sign in to Petal, use a recovery code.
A recovery code is a unique code that allows you to regain access to your account if you lose access to your primary authentication method. It is important to save the recovery code in a secure location.
When you use an authentication app to register for multi-factor authentication, Petal generates a recovery code. Store the recovery code in a location to which only you have access, for example, your cloud storage or a password manager.
Note: Use the same recovery code only once. Once used, the recovery code expires. An unused recovery code does not expire; therefore, you can use it later. Once you use the recovery code, Petal generates a new recovery code.
