Member end date and start date

Steps to complete when member is on a Leave of Absence (LOA).

If you are a Group Member:

If you are a regular member who will be temporary on leave (Medical Leave, Maternity Leave, Sabbatical etc.) and do not required access to the application and do not wish to be billed, you will need to reach out to your group planner.

Request that your group planner add an End Date to your profile for each group you are associated with. The end date is the date you are leaving.

**Note we cannot add end dates in the past. Only the current date or future dates.

Returning to access Petal: You will need to advise your planner of the date you are returning so they may add a start date to your profile. Again, they need to complete this for all groups you are associated with.

If you are a Group Planner:

If one of your members will be on temporary on leave (Medical Leave, Maternity Leave, Sabbatical etc.) and they do not need require access to the application and do not wish to be billed, you will need to add an end date to their profile for each group they are associated with.

Return of your member: After the end date has past, you will then need to add a start date to their profile. Again, this is to be completed for all groups they are associated with.

Adding a start date for a member's return:

  • The moment you add a start date, even if the start date is many months in the future, it gives the member immediate access to their personal Petal calendar, in case they need to add in absences for future periods etc.
  • On the start date you inputted into the system, it will grant the member access once again to the group calendar.
  • On the start date you inputted into the system, the billing will continue for this member.
