The patient has an error message stating that his email is already in use.
One email = one account.
- The email is being used in another clinic and the information is not identical in both clinics.
Ask the patient how their name is spelled in their account at the other clinic. Make the correction in the EMR and then synchronize the account in PetalMD.
- The email is used on behalf of another person (parent, child, spouse).
- Ask the patient if they want to keep the account active, if not, set the account to unconfirmed. They can now use their email for their own account. Unconfirm a patient account
