With the arrival of Petal Message and chat, we wanted to make your life easier, and already provide chat-like conversations, as if functionality had always existed. So we applied an algorithm so that some messages would be converted to chat. The conditions that had to be respected are the following:
- The message was to have 10 participants or less
- The message should not have been sent to a group or distribution list
- The message should not request an acknowledgment of receipt
* Note that at no time was the content of the messages read or analyzed by an algorithm to convert them to chat.
So, all messages of 10 people or less that you had in the past, that were not created from a distribution list, or that did not request an acknowledgment were converted into conversations of type "chat".
This allows you, among other things, to have in one and the same conversation all messages exchanged over time with the same doctor.
For example, if you had 4 conversations with Dr. John Smith between 2016 and 2019, they will be grouped under the same chat conversation. The subjects of each message will also be indicated.
Finally, it is important to mention that no message has been deleted. All messages from users are in a chat or a communication.
