Where can I get the new Petal Health app?
You can download the new Petal Health app from the App Store or from Google Play.
What new features are available on the new Petal Health app for phase 0?
Phase 0 runs from November 2024 until January 2025. The new Petal Health app offers:
- An enhanced calendar view
- Faster on-call availability
- Advanced messaging features (for example, mentions, emojis, enhanced search, ability to edit and delete messages, and file sharing)
What additional new features can I expect in the coming months besides those mentioned above?
In the coming months, you can expect additional new features and enhancements. In the mobile version of the new Petal Health app, you will be able to:
- Edit your user profile
- View group calendars
- Access the console
- Receive, accept, and exchange shifts
- Access the Notification Center
Can I use the Petal for Physicians app and the new Petal Health app at the same time?
You can use both the Petal for Physicians app and the new Petal Health app on your device depending on the features that you want to access. For example, scheduling change requests are not available on the new Petal Health app but are still available on the Petal for Physicians app.
How come I do not have access to the new messaging in the new Petal Health app?
You must sign up to be a part of the Mobile Beta program to access the new messaging. Use this link to sign up for the program or contact your customer success representative.
Can I use archived messaging and new messaging at the same time?
When you activate the new messaging system, the archived messaging system is available with read-only access. Although you can see past conversations, you cannot send new messages. During the beta phase, both the archived messaging and the new messaging systems are available. Archived messaging is only available on the Web app. The new messaging system is only available on the mobile app.
Are my conversations from the archived messaging system going to appear in the new messaging system?
In the Web application, past conversations from the archived messaging appear in the new messaging system but with read-only access.
In the mobile application, past conversations from the archived messaging do not appear in the new messaging system.
