To manage Scheduling notifications for your group, follow the steps below.
Scheduling notifications
- Petal generates notifications to indicate that scheduling activities (absence request, shift addition or removal, shift transfer or exchange, shift offer on marketplace, events) are taking place.
- Depending on the activity or on the shift configuration, some activities require action from the approver.

Receiving notifications
- You can receive a notification by email, an alert through your Petal mobile app or you can see them directly in the platform under Notifications.
- Notification parameters must be configured through your profile.
- Planners will receive notifications for their group members's activities.
- Notifications for the group can be received by an admin member that is not a planner. Please contact Petal support for customized notification options.

Steps
Setting up Scheduling notifications preferences
1. From your left menu bar, click on your profile, then select Notifications preferences.
2. In the Notifications preferences window, under Messaging, click on Change email notification preferences.
3. In this panel, select your notification preferences regarding messages received in Petal Messages.

5. Under Email Subscription, add a checkmark if you want to receive a weekly digest of your schedule for the coming week.
Viewing your Notifications
1. From your left menu bar, click on the bell icon for Notifications.
2. The Notifications panel includes two tabs: Action required and Notifications.
- The Action required tab lists notifications for events that require processing or approval by an approver.
- The Activity tab lists notifications for events that require processing or approval by an approver.
