Releasing a team member from a shift

To release a team member from a shift, follow the steps below.

  • Only an admin or a scheduler can release a team member from a shift.
  • When released, the shift is automatically sent out to team members as an open shift.

 

Releasing a team member from a shift can be done from the following pages: 

  • Dasboard
  • Schedule
  • Shifts

 

Steps

From the Dashboard

1. Select Dashboard from the left menu bar.

2. Filter by Location and by Shift Status (i.e., Assigned and Accepted shifts). 

3. Locate the shift (with the appropriate date and time) and team member that you wish to release. Click on the shift to open the shift card.

4. Click on Release.

5. Select an option from the Reason for Release.

6. Click on Release again.

 

From the Schedule page

1. Select Schedule from in the left menu bar.

2. Select the period and available filters to restrict your view.

3. Locate the shift (with the appropriate date and time) and team member that you wish to release. Hover on the shift, click on More options, Release Shift.

4. Select an option from the Reason for Release.

5. Click on Release.


From the Shifts page

1. Select Shifts from the left menu bar.

2. Filter by Location, by Shift Status (i.e., Assigned and Accepted shifts), and by Position

Click on a particular date in the calendar view to expand your viewing options, or review the shifts in List View.

3. Locate the shift (with the appropriate date and time) and team member that you wish to release. Click on the shift to open the shift card.

4. Click on Release.

5. Select an option from the Reason for Release.

6. Click on Release again.
