Configuring absences approval permissions for the group members

To configure the absences approval permissions for the group members, follow the steps below. 

For each calendar group, it is possible define the absences' properties such as defining:

  • Categories for the absences
  • Absences limits for the group
  • Entry limitation of absences 
  • Absences approval flow

Planner’s rights are required to modify absences' configuration.

 

Prerequisite

  • Connect to Portal with a planner profile
  • Have access to Group's calendar

Access in Petal

  • Home page > Left menu > Scheduling> Absences

Steps

1. From your left menu bar, click on Scheduling, then select Absences.

2. Click on the Blockings tab.

The Permissions management list allows to configure, for each absences categories, who has permissions for:

  • Approving absences if required

  • Processing absences if required

  • Being notified when absences are added or removed 

3. As required, add a checkmark on  Approve, Process, Notify to give those permissions to the member.

Approve: Recipient must approve absences requests for the selected categories for the absences requests flow to be complete. 

Process: Recipient must process absences requests that have been approved for the selected categories for the absences requests flow to be complete.

Notify: Recipient receives notifications for each absence request or withdrawal for the selected categories.

4. To further modify the permissions, click on the pencil next to the member for which to modify the configuration.

5. To remove an entry from the list, click on the  bin in the selected row.

 

To create a new permission

1. Click on  Add permission.

2. In the Add permission window, select the following fields:

  • Recipient: a member of the group.

  • Absences categories: categories for which the recipient must take action or be notified.

  • Permitted actions: one or more of the following options  Approve, Process, Notified.

  • Members : Recipient will have the selected permissions for the members selected in this section.

 

3. Click on Save.

The new entry is listed in the  Permissions management list.
