Configuring absences' limits for the group

To modify existing absences' limits for your group or to create new ones, follow the steps below. 

For each calendar group, it is possible define the absences' properties such as defining:

  • Categories for the absences
  • Absences limits for the group
  • Entry limitation of absences 
  • Absences approval flow

Planner’s rights are required to modify absences' configuration.

 

Prerequisite

  • Connect to Portal with a planner profile
  • Have access to Group's calendar

Access in Petal

  • Home page > Left menu > Scheduling> Absences

Steps

1. From your left menu bar, click on Scheduling, then select Absences.

2. Click on the Limits tab.

The Limits management list allows to configure the limits that are applicable to your group. 

(i) There could be no limits configured.

 

3. To view the limits details for the mebers of your group, click on the eye icon: 

To modify an existing absence limit 

4. Click on the pencil on the row of the limit to be modified.

6. To remove a limit from the list, click on the bin on the corresponding row.

To create a new absence limit

1. Click on  Create new limit.

2. In the New limit window, fill in the following information.

Field Description
Limit name Descriptive name
Start date, end date Period of time on which the limit applies
Maximum limit Maximum number of days
Overflow management Allow or block exceeding the limit
Categories considered Categories included in the limit
Weekdays considered All days or specific days only

Holidays calculation

  • Include

  • Exclude

  • Only

 

 Include holidays in limit

 Do not include holidays in limit

 Holidays considered only

 

3. Click on Save.

4. Click on Cancel to go back ot the list without saving.
